Overview

This concept project was developed for Eastpak’s Bag in Town Competition 2012, which challenged participants to design a nomadic backpack for urban environments. The concept focused on creating a versatile everyday companion capable of adapting to different situations throughout the day.

The Solution

Perspective sketch composition of the Involver concept of the backpack open and closed

Inspired by movement and versatility, I developed a nomadic backpack concept designed to adapt to the user’s daily journey through the urban environment. The design explored multiple usage configurations, offering flexibility for different situations and activities.

Human reference of the backpack concept illustrating how it can be used in various situations.

Through concept development and sketches, I translated this idea into a product direction that envisioned the backpack as a reliable companion for navigating the concrete jungle.
